As a child of the "big city" (New York), my life was informed by the
sprawling images of high rise apartment buildings, majestic bridges
and mile after mile of hard top streets and highways. It was an urban
view of the world, ultimately enlarged by the ever expanding reach of
the post-World War II suburbs.

It was only later in my life that I began to experience the variety and
beauty that can be found in the forests, waterways and canyons of our
national parks and other virgin areas; and the pilot that guided me on
my voyage was my camera. It opened up new vistas and landscapes
that revealed the grandeur and excitement of our natural environment.

My subjects range from sublime landscapes to the mystical spirit
possessed by the horse that is at once sculpturally elegant and
emotionally complex, embodying courage, tenderness and power-
and lastly, to the study of solitary man who seems absorbed by the
vastness of the natural environment.

My goal is to heighten an awareness of and profound appreciation
for the world in which we live. I am extremely concerned about
preserving our environment and preventing the unnecessary
destruction of our cherished plant.
